BOSTON, MA–(Marketwire – 09/14/09) – Finny Kuruvilla, MD, PhD was named as one of the top performing emerging mutual fund managers for new mutual funds that have been in existence for less than 1.5 years according to Fund Mojo, a financial network that provides financial intelligence, data collection and analysis to financial advisors and investors. Selection criteria involved analyzing fund managers who have outperformed category averages since their inception.

Dr. Kuruvilla has managed the Eventide Gilead Fund (NASDAQ:ETGLX – News) portfolio since its inception in July, 2008. He possesses a diverse background in quantitative methods, with applications focused on innovations in science, engineering, and medicine. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, a PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Harvard University, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and a bachelor’s degree from Caltech in Chemistry.
